I'm Yuliya, a Londoner based in the north-west of the city. I started this site as a non-commercial project because I wanted somewhere to share the walks I already put together for myself and other people. London makes it remarkably easy to stay inside the bubble of your own neighbourhood – which is understandable when almost everything you need is nearby. But the city also gives us the transport, the density and an almost unreasonable number of completely different streets, high roads, canals, pubs, cafés and overlooked corners. It would be a shame not to use them.
These routes are for people who want to see London differently without turning every weekend into a major expedition – and, in time, for those who want a full day out that starts with public transport. I tend to look for neighbourhoods with a strong sense of place, independent food and drink, lived-in streets, unexpected contrasts and somewhere worth stopping rather than simply collecting landmarks. I am less interested in polished "best of London" lists than in whether a route feels coherent: whether the stops work together, the walking is enjoyable and the day leaves you seeing an area differently.
This site does not accept payment for inclusion, and places are not added because they are fashionable or optimised for social media. Routes are assessed for atmosphere, practicality, transport, walking distance and whether each stop genuinely adds something. Pilot routes are walked in person; prototypes are labelled honestly until they are. The occasional soundtrack is an editorial note, not a claim about what a place plays.
